We enjoy the roads, the scenery, and the communities along the way. DRIVE FOR GOOD is how we turn that appreciation into something that gives back.

The Experience
A shelter visit, scenic driving including the Cherohala Skyway and Tail of the Dragon, time together, and stops along the way.
The Participation
Limited to 12 cars total, including the organizers. Drivers contact Car Hikers first to request an available spot.

MONROE COUNTY FRIENDS OF ANIMALS.
MCFA has been caring for animals in Monroe County for years. When we picked a cause for our first Drive for Good, we picked the community whose roads we love most. Every dollar raised goes directly to them. Car Hikers receives nothing.
The day
COMMUNITY. CHEROHALA. DRAGON.
We start at the MCFA shelter for a tour of the facility and a chance to meet the animals. The first part of the day takes us through Monroe County back roads. After lunch, we hit the Cherohala Skyway and the Tail of the Dragon, and we end the day lakeside, around a fire.
How to take part
FIRST, GET IN TOUCH.
Interested drivers should reach out through our Car Hikers Facebook page. We'll confirm availability before providing donation instructions. A minimum $200 donation per participating car goes directly to Monroe County Friends of Animals. Car Hikers receives $0.
Please do not donate before your spot has been confirmed. The drive is a shared experience, not a race. Spots are limited and given on a first-come, first-confirmed basis.
